No Fire

1986 2.5 L OMC I have no fire coming out of the Coil wire That goes to the distributor. I have power on both sides of the coil 11.5 V with the ignition switch on I even put a jumper wire from the battery positive to the positive side of the coil wire from the battery and still no fire. I tried a new coil still the same thing. Any any help would be appreciated.

Ayuh,...... The points fire the coil, so service the points,....

What are the points supposed to be set at? I keep looking on Google. Trying to figure it out. I can’t get nothing.

File the points
Rough gap to 0.018"
Set the point dwell to 30-32 degrees
Then set timing to 4 degrees BTDC
