No Fire on cylinder#1

I have a 98 bf50 that has no fire on cylinder #1. Just knew it was a bad coil so I replaced it and still nothing. It will start on cylinder 2 and 3 if coil is unplugged from cylinder 1. Any help appreciated. TIA

Sorry, you say it will start on 2&3 if #1 is unplugged, can't help wondering what happens when #1 is left plugged in?

It will start and run (not smooth) on cylinder 2&3 but when you plug wires into coil of #1 it will not start.
