I recently purchased an 18 ft nitro bass boat with a 1989 mercury blackmax 175. The motor runs fine once you nurse it over 3000 rpm but anything under that during takeoff and it just bogs. Powerhead was rebuilt 4 years ago...compression is good on all six...I think I'm losing spark on 3 cylinders during idle...is this a stator issue?
