Hi All,

I am looking for some advice. Today, I tried to start the boat for the first time this season. Port engine started perfectly. When I try to start the starboard engine, I don't get a beep from the alarm or a buzz from the fuel pump. The engine turns over fine and the gauges do get power. I checked for loose wires but did not have my volt meter with me. IAlso, checked the safety switch which seems to be fine. I will take dash apart and look for corrosion during my next trip t the marina. Is there anything else that would be advisable to check?

Your help is appreciated.

Thank you,

John

Thinking possibly a fuse or relay located on the engine is having issues. Could try lightly tapping on the relays while the key is on to see if it helps jog it loose that and/or swap them out to see if things change symptoms...also try wiggling the main wiring harness on the engine.

Do the gauges power down when you flip the safety switch...Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Do you have 1 or 2 safety switches?...If 2, do they act the same to the gauges?

Thank you for your reply. Hopefully, I will make it to the boat tomorrow and will update the read then.
