Should your switch go bad/not working you can update to the newer style with a small wiring mod. Remove and tape off the Green /White wire .Then go to the purple power wire that feeds the coil positive -remove it and connect to one side of the new switch, connect the other side of the switch back to the coil positive.
now instead of grounding the circuit you will be removing the power from the coil for a split second the switch goes open,
A new switch is available but it wont fit your existing plate,you need to purchase a new plate
All you need to do is install it, wire it and adjust you cables a s necessary

additional research shows that the part number 87-81428A5 is listed as a normally open switch , this type applies a ground to the circuit and this one 8M0052936 is a later type being a normally closed that open a circuit on activating
