Re: Nissan carb teardown questions.

Managed to find a brass hose barb tee today that I was able to thread and then tap the hole in the carb. Works great so far but that was only at idle in the driveway. At least I seem to have gotten the carbs back on the way they're supposed to be. Auto parts stores didn't have anything small enough. Found it at a specialty fluid fittings outfit. A 10-32 tap was a perfect fit for the hole in the carb so you can tell how small it is. Anyway, thanks for the help, hopefully the real test will be good tomorrow.

Re: Nissan carb teardown questions.

Well all that didn't help but my repair to the carb I broke did work. Took a three day weekend and went fishing anyway. Thanks to my ever-trusty 1979 Evinrude 6 horse I was able to troll all day every day with no problems. Why can't they all run like that. I think that little thing would push me all the way to Japan and back if I asked it too. So now I'm back but might not have time to do anything with the Nissan this week as I'm taking a 4 day weekend this time for more fishing. However, I will replace the plugs just to see what happens.
