Was not a fan of that play by Crosby, Crosby was a little too violent in the slash at the stick. His intention was not to take out a finger, but it happened and yes, he should have been more careful and should have received some type of penalty ... suspension, fine, etc. Wilson, on the other hand, launched himself at the head of an opponent. He left his feet as he lunged for the head. This in an of itself is reason for the suspension, but then you take his play throughout the year and then the game before when he hit Brian Dumoulin in the in the back of the head with his cross check. Yes, Dumoulin was taking a defensive move in that game to prepare for the collision with Ovechkin, but the pattern of hits and the violent nature of the hits to the head. No offense, but the head and a finger are a bit different. So yes, I agree, and yes, I disagree at the same time! Does that make any sense? Although I have been accused in the past of being a "homer", I do try to look at things objectively. And I do think that the Crosby hit from last year and the Wilson hit of the other day are 2 entirely different types of hits. Both deserve penalties, but the penalties are not equal in my eyes.

Going along the same vein but different what I hate is when a player gives a good clean crushing check to a player the teammate of the guy that got crushed feel its necessary to go after the guy .To me the players going after the hitter should get a penalty .

Intimidation has been a part of hockey since the beginning and some players are nothing more than enforcers spending more time in the box than on the ice. There is even a Wiki page for enforcers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NHL_enforcers I don't know if this is a LOL or an

Without Wilson, the Pens beat the Caps 3-1 tonight, evening the series at 2 games each. Back to Washington for Game 5.

Tampa Bay beat Boston in ot.What the hell was Marchand doing?Has he lost his marbles?Hope the league comes down on him but I bet they don't cause their wusses.I would of bit his tonge off or broke his nose with my stick.Anybody that didn't see what he did watch the sports recaps later, what a nut.I thought his own player Chara was going to deck him.On a super side note I went with my brother today and he picked up his new /used boat.Beautiful 1995 sunbird spirt 170 with a 2002 115 Yamaha 4 stroke.

Tampa Bay eliminated Boston from the playoff with a 3-1 win today and Las Vegas is 47 seconds away from downing San Jose 3-0 and sending them to the golf course.

It's too bad that it took the Golden Knights so long to be a decent team. Like I said, not into hockey but entire town of Las Vegas are suddenly fans. They haven't even had a tooth punched out yet.

Got to give them credit though. We will see how the fans are in a few years after a few losing seasons .Sorta been on the vegas watch myself but that comes to an end if they play my jets.We will see if they can play with the big dogs .If they end up playing the jets they better bring their earplugs, thats the loudest area period. No drums,no music ,just fans.

Will be interesting to see if the Caps can finally exorcise their demons and put the pesky pens away once and for all in the playoffs.

The Pens gave Game 5 away on Saturday when the Caps tied it at 3-3. Defense fell down on the tying goal and the Pens lost momentum and lost the game.

What do we Pens fans say? Wait 'til next year.

Nashville was getting spooked by the Jets, and frankly y'all have a good chance at clobberin' us. But that was a good win that Nashville needed to boost them back into the zone.

... and I still say we need a cup win down here ;)

What GA said about last night's loss ... and the game before. Letang had a few mental lapses that cost the Pens goals and the Caps net minder did a great job of keep the puck out of the net. It has been a great run, but ... all good things must come to an end. Now I guess I will root for the Flower that his team, the Vegas Golden Knights.

I can root for the Knights. I like the new guy to take on the established teams.
