Pirates scored 5 runs in the inning while the Pens scored 2 goals (4 runs came when Polanco hit his first grand slam). In the 6th inning the Pirates lead the Marlins 7-0. Seems like the 'Burgh is liking fish tonight ...

Pens played their pressing, shooting, game. If they continue to control the tempo and keep the pressure in the Sharks end, it will be an easy game and series. However, the Sharks are too good to let that happen. I expect them to come out and use their size a bit more.

Second period begins.

Rodrigues just hit a 2 run home run in the top of the 9th ... Pirates lead 9-0.

Freese (4-5 on the night) singled home Harrison for the 10-0 lead in the top of the 9th. Locke still pitching in the 9th. And the tide is turning in the hockey game ...

Locke pitches the 3 hit (and 2 double plays - 104 pitches) shut out. Pirates win 10-0

Back to hockey ... back and forth, both teams playing pretty even right now with 3 minutes left in the 2nd period.

Saw the Pirates score and 10-0 win.

Pens have been flat in the 2nd. Need the fire back like the 1st period.
