Glad they were able to pull it out for Shazier. Hated to see JuJu taunting Burfict after a hard hit, even if it was Burfict. I can handle that hit but not the taunting.

The taunting wasn't right. Ju-Ju will be sitting out a game or two.

But the Steelers put up another W with one more Boswell last second FG.

Gruden - :tape:

Interesting. When I look at Pick 'em, only me and TheAdmiral made picks for week 13, weird....

I'll say because after MNF it was 'speck in 2nd with bassman 3rd. Very strange.

My picks and score are still right, it's just the group scores aren't updated except you and the Admiral. And she is razzin' me!

Agreed on Gruden. He complained about the Steelers all night. I was reading a report written on a Cincy site and it mentioned Bell getting a PF flag for pushing Burfict in the facemask early on. Well Burfict had his hand on Bells throat choking him. I saw him do the same thing in another game earlier this year. Can't remember who it was against. But he had his hand on the players throat. Don't recall but wonder if Gruden mentioned that during the game?

I thought the Bell flag was crazy when Burfict clearly started it with the throat grab. It's one of his signature moves and he gets away with it too often.

JuJu is on a weeks vacation for leveling Burfict. I think it was more the taunting that caused it. The hit was clean in my opinion and I think Burfict was auditioning for an Oscar. He jumped off the ambulance cart before the cart got to the tunnel.

Bengals Iloka also got a 1 game suspension for his hit on Brown.

Shazier is spending at least one more night in Cincy and when he leaves, will go to UPMC in Pittsburgh. The head of UPMC neurotrauma is treating him at the University of Cincinnati with the head of UC neurilogical surgery, but no operation is planned. Steelers flew Shazier's parents to Cincy on a private jet.

There were alot of bad penalties (and non-calls) on both teams. The refs were horrible and even being a Steeler fan Cincy got a few bogus flags too. The reports I read said the NFL clearly said that the taunting played a big role in their decision to suspend. Was Burfict acting it up? I don't think so. It was a pretty wicked hit. What I don't understand is how Gronk got the same penalty that JuJu and IIola got. Gronks wasn't much better than drop kicking a player from behind after the play was over. Borderline criminal in my opinion. And he isn't usually like that but on a scale of 1-10 that was a 25 in terms of dirty, malicious play. I'm ok with JuJu getting 1 game but Gronk should have got 2 minimum or 1 more than what the Bills player will miss, whichever is greater.

Mixed reports coming out of the Steelers organization concerning Shazier. Ryan has apparently talked to several of the players and has placed his request that they beat the Ravens. However, he is still in Cincinnati and undergoing more tests ... scary and prayers for him ...

Just saw a replay. Looked like a clean hit by Ju Ju. The added taunting wasn't necessary, but is done by a ton of players. Game suspension for taunting?

They keep saying it was a blindside hit. No way and the play wasn't over. Shoulder to shoulder hit. Notice how mortally wounded Burfict twisted, grabbed and pulled JuJu's leg as he stepped way after the words.

I didn't see it as a blindside at all. Bell was right there, the Cincy guy would have got a piece of him if Ju Ju didn't put a block on. It just was an extremely hard hit...

Guarantee Burfict would have lit up JuJu same way if he had the chance. Did it to AB a couple years ago and IIRC wasn't he the one that blew out Bells knee a couple years ago? And he kicked Nix in the face last game and got fined for that and we still have the multiple throat grabs. Still don't like the taunting but don't feel bad at all that JuJu lit him up.

Roger Godell is an idiot ...

"JuJu Smith-Schuster's taunting of Vontaze Burfict had nothing to do with the league's decision to give Pittsburgh's receiver a one-game suspension.

That's what the NFL said on Wednesday, as Troy Vincent, the former Eagles' defensive back and current Executive Vice President of Football Operations, said while addresses the league's decision to suspend Smith-Schuster for his hit on Burfict in Pittsburgh's victory over Cincinnati."

Goodell? Ah, yeah........

If that's the case, Ju Ju should have never been suspended..... Are they supposed to wave a flag to let the opposing player know they're about to get hit? He lowered his shoulder into the guys chest..
