A person has a 21ft pontoon boat for sale and it does not have a motor. How hard is it to install a motor, controls and accessaries?:D

Re: Newbe question

Is the steering wheel, key switch, and throttle missing??? And what accessories are you concerned about??? Motor controls are normally left on a boat when a motor is removed.

Only minimal mechanical skills are required to install a motor. Slightly more if you need to replace the motor controls.

If the controls are present, then you should attempt to locate a motor to match the controls.

Re: Newbe question

The pictures of the back of the boat do not show anything but a blank motor mount. No controls, cables or gas tanks.

Re: Newbe question

You need to look at the boat or at least ask the owner just what, if any, controls are needed.
