New Z272 Owner w/Dead Battery

Possibly a stupid question but...I just purchased a 1996 Z272 beauty last week and believe I left the interior lights on so this week have a dead battery. I'm ready with the battery charger but my question is how do I get the engine hatch up without the power? is there a manual engine hatch release? I've pulled the bench seat forward and yanked up on the sunpad hatch but it barely budged. I'm afraid that I'll break something if I muscle it open.

It should have a manual release, but I don't know where it would be hidden on your boat.

Another option - get a 12v power plug (that fits a cigar lighter) and hook it up to your battery charger(or another battery, if your charger doesn't have the capacity). Plug it in and feed your system backwards, should be able to run your lift this way.
