Re: NEW WORLD ORDER
Interesting subject. Sometimes hard to get the straight skinny when there are so many OPINIONS running around. Uncovering the true facts can be difficult because this movement is very deliberately underground. I'll be careful to say that most of my comments are just my OPINION, so please take it as such. True? I believe so, very much I do. But I also think that there is quite a bit of hyperbole and finding things simply because some are trying too hard to find stuff. The big picture is sinister enough, I think it ties into biblical prophecy ultimately, though not explicitly so. Just seems to be moving the same direction. I can't really comment on Ladyfish's quote of Rivera because I haven't really studied all the specifics there. Probably some good stuff there, though I get a little suspicious of too much detail. Been burned too many times by well meaning folks who pass on rumors. (NOT directed toward Ladyfish! The link IS helpful, though I'll take it with a grain of salt until I can authenticate its statements. I try to check out stuff BEFORE I decide it must be true- like I say,I've been burned too many times) Not that it is necessarily wrong or overstated, but the nature of this sort of thing is to try to implicate the target any which way, by association, rumor, hear-say, etc. Ends up just discrediting that which really is legitimate- too hard to sift between truth and fiction. Usually causes folks to turn off to the reality that really does lay there under the surface. (Chicken Little syndrome) The folks whose passion leads them to uncover the "vast conspiricy" under every rock and whose enthusiasm is so unbridled as to contaminate their product do us a grave disservice. If it was approached with the due caution of a good detective or forensics specialist who uses extreme care to not contaminate their observations and findings, and whose report was limited to "just the facts", then we might have more confidence in the reports. (Those reports might not sell as well in the bookstores, though!) And genuine first or second hand reports hold far more credibility than 7th or 8th hand reports.

As to Theodore Roosevelt, I most strongly think that to be nonsense. I have done some study of his life, and have indeed found much to have been left out by the revisionist historians who have their own agenda. Truth is he was what we today would call a conservative evangelical christian who used the Scriptures to the very best of his ability to rule every aspect of his life. His values which lead to the great conservation works he did were simply biblical stewardship. The modern conservation movement has nothing on TR, except lack of perspective, ruthless tactics, crybaby attitude, and lack of just about every virtue that he did possess. Yes, he loved to hunt and fish, but he desired balance, and had vision years ahead of his time which gained him criticism. He wanted to preserve the wild species, not destroy them. He was no hypocrite, unlike the vocal extremists usually trying to get all the media attention. And he accomplished far more towards the cause than the micro-managing self important wackos on the outer fringe ever will. (Not all conservation minded people are extreme!) In many other areas his desire to be godly also ruled him. I just can't imagine him ever yielding to any conterfeit man-made poor imitation when he knew the REAL Prince of Peace. Rest assured, any peace on this planet that comes apart from Christ will not last, and will indeed be leading to a swift destruction in the end. John:14:6,27; 1Thessalonians 5:1-4
A lot of bad things are done in the name of good causes, unfortunately. But there is never a substitute for the real, genuine thing. Just is hard for some folks to find because they keep looking in all the wrong places. I know, I was once there myself.
