We just bought this 1985 bomber boat, but we don’t have any idea what model it is and it has a Johnson motor 60 hp. Model #J6TLCO… I’m guessing the last letter is “D”. How can I find out how many strokes it is? We plan on repainting it and putting foam flooring on this winter. IMG_2131.jpeg

carbed 2 stroke vro oiling 2 cyl. according to the parts place....

time to get yourself a manual :)

drain the GC and refill check for water when you open the bottom screw

if water drips out first or oil is milky chocolate a gc reseal is likely needed ... pressure test the GC
pull the prop check for layers of mono line chewing the prop shaft seal

Check the integrity of transom and stringers.---No point putting a new floor over rotten stringers.-----Find a owners manual for this motor.----Read it 2 times before your first launch of the boat.
