Not even close to correct. You check alignment EVERY year when you take the drive off.

Unless you like buying engine couplers...

Really though...it needs checked every time the drive comes off.You never know when an engine mount will vibrate loose or sink into the stringers.Especially on older boats.

Combine that with the knowledge of #6,+ you'll have the most complete annual service list possible....

So after some thinking I will pull the outdrive back off and have the alignment checked. I don't have the tool, so I will just take it down to the local family owned marina. The owner there says he will check it for me, and I think he won't charge me either.

I should hope not!!! With the drive already off, checking the alignment is all of 60 seconds work. If it needs adjusting, that's a different story...

What would make it need adjusting? The engine compartment and everything in there looks normal. Boat looks like it has a year or 2 usage on it.
