New to saltwater Fishing!

Hello so i live in Spain and iv acquired a small boat with a 25hp 2t engine and i want to do a bit of fishing but no idea how to start id be fishing in the Mediterranean sea of the coast of costa Blanca any advice would be appreciated!

iv been on a fishing charter here before but it was just the basic way weight at the bottom and few hooks coming off the line with bits of king prawn on and it was a good day catching small ones but the Mediterranean is full of surprises and i want to get one of them aha

I have fished in the Atlantic and the Pacific, but never the Mediterranean. Flashback's advice is good advice. Go down to the fishing docks and strike up conversations with the fishermen there. Some of them can be very helpful and give you tips and tricks on where to go and how to catch the big ones. Good luck and we want pictures or it didn't happen!
