I got a good deal on a 25 hp Scott motor complete for 50 bucks just to tinker around with and my question is what year do I have? The #s are 135-3483.

135 comes up as a 1958 22hp. 135A is a 1959 25hp. I'm thinking it has to be a 1959. Prior to 59 you could determine year by reversing the last 2 digits of the 4 digit code, that would make yours a 1938 which isn't right so it must be a 1959.
