Well ? no trade just yet !?!? Just got it ya know and boy ? 22? ? to BIG for me ?

I got the boat a little up river from us ? Sedro Woolley ? from an old friend who may be retiring here soon and upgraded to his ? Retirement ? Boat. Got it before it came on the market or advertised at all. Ended up trading a few guns for it (My other passion?) ? good deal on both sides I think.

Wouldn?t mind seeing your boat someday and maybe swapping stories a bit..

Yes. Me also, I go your way to the land fill often. we raise show dogs so have lots of trash to keep up with. You will like my 22 holiday as it is all origional even has the origional top, hoewver it's not very good anymore. I run this in the Sound and on the Skagit River. Its a little long for the river but solid and very fast even on the river. It has a 200 Johnson and a 9.9 Merc 4 stroke on it. You can private e -mail me later if you like. You sure were lucky to get such a nice boat it looks well cared for.

Well I?ll be ? there it is right on top. I remember looking at that old Boucher a few day?s ago. I think the part with ALL the girls running at the boat kind of stuck in my mind. So it is a Holiday with a sticker on the hull of a 68? and its in the ad for a 67? ? interesting I guess.
Pugetsound ? I would be just north of you actually ? Burlington out by the airport. How about your self?

lol..The Holiday with the old school bikini women running towards it is MY boat..Huron Angler wants me to "recreate" that shot..I have scoped out a few similar docks out here..Now where are Diane's girlfriends...hmmm..lol

Hey Badger, our boats are almost the same ..mine has a few upgrades but is the same basic boat . you'll like the open floor space for fishin', I added a bench in the back to store fueltanks and batteries and add a little seating space without crowding the floor up

I'm not sure but my hin say's it's a '65

EDIT: Matt, I had to change your last picture to a link. That one is too large for the forum and blows the screen width out. Please try to keep them to 640x480 or smaller. You can do this in photobucket with one click. - ezmobee

WOW ? that one is nice.. How did you do that wood on the windshield? Could you post some pictures of the interior? That bench seat in the back and the front seats?
Maybe a dumb question but how is it with out the walk through window for doing anything up there like anchoring and such? I don?t think I will be crawling under that dash and out the hatch to many times ? cant afford the chiropractor bills ???!!!???

Sorry about that last pic Ezmobee, Thought I had reduced them all in photobucket:confused:,I'll fix it. Oldbadger, like yours ,I put a 1/4" plate cept mines on the inside of the transom
. And the windshield mine came with had a bent plexi windshield with no corner post and had stress cracks all down the bend. I used the old windscreen frame and built a "wrap" 1/2" thick by 1 3/4"wide out of mahogany and mortised it out to fit the frame and snug up to the lexan panels I put in ..no bend this time, just straight panels with an added corner support. It's all attached to the aluminum frame with stainless screws so it comes off in 4 pieces. Here's a couple of pics that you might get the jist of it

Aw c'mon Capt., It's just an old tin boat;)......Oldbadger, you've got the perfect platform for what ever you want to make of it! I would suggest that you bury a couple of fuel tanks in the middle. Iffin it's like mine..115 omc...it'll suck some gas:D..what year is that Suzuki?

"Bury a few fuel tanks " ?? What might that mean ? Any pictures or info on a canvas top for these - I see you have one on in what looks like a picture from before you restored it.
I like the idea of the boxes under the seats in the front.
That Suzuki is a 86' that I am told by the last owner (A friend of mine ) that runs very well except for starting when cold. I do have a 2003 - bought new in 2005 with 40hrs on it - Johnson 90hp seahorse that I am thinking of putting on it. Still wondering if I will loss much performace though. With what I get for the old Suzuki I would put into the canvas top.
Again - that sure is a nice looking boat you have there ..

Oldbadger, By "burying" a few tanks ,I meant to install a few decent size tanks in the hull. I put 2 -12 gallon tanks between the stringers under the bench seat . Initially I had them to either side and the batterys inthe middle , but the balance would get off when you had 1 tank full and the other empty.here is the way it was before I changed it.

Old badger You do realize that if you change motors you have to also redo all of the wireing and controlls. My thought as I am of the age I dont like to do more than I have to is.-- Run the current motor and see if it meets your needs. And keep the other in case one fails you have another. That can save a lot of dollars either way. There is a great canvas shop in La Conner that is the Most reasonable price and he does Excellent work on tops. We can get together soon and we can exchange Ideas.
