Hello, This is my first post on this site and would like to say thanks for letting me be here. I have a 1967 Johnson 9.5 and it has about 40 hours on it....yes only 40 hours. I bought this at an estate sale for $200.00 and did a fluid change and put fuel to it and it ran great for about a month. I first had an intermittent cough and adjusted the lean/rich knob and cured that. Then it began to act up when running at WOT. I bought a carb rebuild kit and installed that, put new plugs in it and checked the points gap. Took it back out on the water and now it starts right up, idles great, accelerates awesome but 15 to 20 seconds later it dies at WOT. So I replaced the fuel pump...still not fixed. Seems like the fuel bowl is running dry but will start right back up with out pumping the bulb. So I replaced all the fuel lines on the motor and from the tank to the motor including the bulb, in case of an air leak. Still will not run at WOT. Other than that it is fine. Please I have tried all that I listed and exhausted looking at the posts here for advise and cant seem to fix it. Thanks.....
