Plug wires from 2001, guessing original. Cap appears to have a decent patina as well. Curious about the rest of the tune up stuff?Makes it a '96 or later. Couple hundred horsepower.

Thank you. Yes it’s in an 02 smokercraft. 18’. I won’t mess with solenoid, cranks no problem. The breaker is rusted to a point it would work if it was actually needed. So I’m changing the sensor in the distributor and leaving the icm alone. Seems they aren’t to expensive if needed though. Yet to do all the tests but cap and rotor was corroded. Not much to replace new.Apparently 4.3L Vortec with Mercarb and ThunderboltV ignition. Makes it a '96 or later. Couple hundred horsepower.
That solenoid actually for the starter. The circuit breaker is for the entire system except the trim hydraulic motor.
yes the ignition sensor .... creates a lot of moisture ...Update, Problem is fixed and the culprit was the ignition sensor. Engine instantly fired up which almost brought me to tears. It has been an experience and I appreciate all the help I have received here. I went ahead and installed a new rotor, dist cap, coil, wires and plugs. Total cost was 240 and change. Im new to boats but at this point I'd say I'm slightly seasoned. I perform my own mechanics on my vehicles and wasn't going to let this boat kick my ass.
