New stove delivered-FINALLY!!
Well the new stove I purchased at Lowes home center FINALLY got to me on their eighth try at delivering it.After 3 damaged units and two no shows and 2 cancelled because of damage delivery attempts I got a phone call at 8am from the delivery guy.He says he is ready to deliver the stove but his helper is not in yet.He wanted to know if I had stairs to climb and I have plenty.I offered to assist as his helper.How hard can it be to assist with a hand truck??Well he gets there and says that we cant use the hand truck because there are too many stairs and turns to make.So guess who helped him CARRY it.So we carry the old one down 2 6 step flights of stairs and down 3 other sets of brick 2 and 3 steps outside the house and then the new one in and when he gets it in and uncovered there was a small dent on this stove.Fortunately it was facing the wall so it really was not going to be visable but the delivery guy insisted on calling it in.so I said if you are calling it in you may as well ask to get some $ taken off for the damage.They took off another $50 and I finally had the new stove.I cant believe what a hassle it was to get this thing delivered.With the forum help I installed the electric outlet and plug for the unit with ease.That was the only part of getting a new stove that was easy.The End!
