I just took ownership of a 1994 Valanti 256 (took it for a hour long test run then it went right into winter storage). The previous owner has a new bimini top and camper cover and curtains made last year. When I went to cover the boat with a tarp this weekend, I found that the zippers let more than a bit of water in, the cockpit carpet was soaked and it had apparently run thru the snaps he put in the deck and dripped into the aft cabin. I had noticed stains earlier, but he said they were old. Wondering about that now. Plan on taking up all the snaps in the spring and sealing them and reinstalling them.
Anyway onto my question. I want to put a cockpit cover on next spring. For those with a cockpit cover, does yours cover the entire windshield or does it snap on the top ridge of the windshield?
