I bet if everybody over the rank of Captain started any 2 of the threads below at the same time we could shoot past 5,000 and soon thereafter blow up the server with too many responses for it to handle:

Yup, and by a pretty good margin 3,223 at 9:42 PM last night. I was on a bit earlier and it was over 3,100 people online . . .

Keep one thing in mind about all these "new records". They do not compare to what last years numbers.

Back in January admin changed the time people stay logged in after they leave from 15 minutes to 30 or 35 minutes so people don't get kicked off line if they spend too long typing a post or reply.
What that does is keeps people logged in longer after they leave if they don't log out.

So naturally, with people not getting logged out as quickly, there are always more people showing online at one time that there used to be.
Bet if they turned it up to an hour we would have 5 or 6000 online.

For some reason I thought we changed it back, just double checked and it is at 30 minutes. The numbers however are still accurate, 3,223 visitors in 30 minutes is awesome!

Make a new prediction. I think this Friday though Monday are open. That gets the first float of the year and first float ever prep before the holiday. And Monday is the "What happened" follow up questions. It's all good. :happy:
