New Puppy

The Captain decided it was time for us to become a 2 dog household. Picked up the pup last week. She was 8 weeks and a day old last Thursday when we picked her up.

New puppy is a female. Named her Bourbon. We had to get a female as we've heard some bad tales of dominance issues with 2 males in their breed, Wheaten Terriers.

We've had her older brother (no bloodline relation) since he was a pup. He'll be 4 years old next week. HIs name is Guinness.

Their coat lightens as they age. Guinness was darker than Bourbon when he was a puppy. I expect Bourbon to be fairly light in color by the time she's 2 years old.

two years ago yesterday we did the unthinkable. Glad we didn't think, life has been better since (except for travelling has become exponentially more complex)

I give you credit doing 4 dogs. We managed 3 for a brief period, a little over a year. Think we’ll stick with two.

have a friend with four dobies and a cat - plus she fosters almost constantly plus overnight rescue waypoint. she's nuts. love her to death.
