I'm fairly new to boating, but just purchased a 2000 Stingray 200 LX. Mercruiser 4.3L V6 w/Alpha one outdrive. Immaculate boat, but the prop was a little beat up. The previous owner had an extra prop. After studying the manual and online, looked like a pretty easy fix, so I removed the old prop, cleaned the prop shaft up re greased everything and when I went to install the new prop, I noticed that it is not made the same. the prop fits great, but this one doesn't seem to use the drive sleeve adapter, or the locking tab washer. It just slides right on the shaft perfectly. When I replaced the nut there is just a lot of excess shaft sticking out past the nut and nothing to hold the nut tight. Is this correct, or should I get another prop?? Also any prop suggestions(i.e.blade, pitch). Mainly used for skiing, tubing etc, but of course top end is what a man looks for...

Another newbie here who just went thru the exact same thing. lol.

I think you need this. Luckily for me my buddy had one he wasn't using. Inexpensive anyway.

Yes, looks like exactly what I need in addition to the locking washer and nut. Figured it out after chatting with the overton's help person. Thanks guys
