I just acquired a 63' Texas Maid 15 ft. Impala runabout, all aluminum. Will have to pull/replace the floor and transom (from top/inside). Going to use tashasdaddy's recommendations for the floor, but need to ask about the transom. Looks like the old board/transom is plywood. Would it be best to replace it with ply or go for a piece of dimensional lumber. It will be sealed of course before installation. Should I glue/bond the board to the boat skin or just secure it with the fasteners that I take out? I attached a brochure that shows the boat, hope it shows up well. The boat came with a 62 Evinrude Lark IV selectric shift...absolutely free if there are any takers out there.
