New outdrive

Would a cobra 3.0L outrdive align in the transom with my 4.3L cobra? I can get a good deal on one and wondering if I can just switch them.

Well, it will align, but that is the only thing. The 3.0L drive had a smaller gearcase on the lower and is the wrong gear ratio.
Before you ask, NO you can't just change prop pitch and make it work. That is why all the manufacturers use different gear ratios.
