[flat water]

Hi all, I recently bought an Evinrude Big Twin 35 hp. The guy I bought it from said it runs, I have not tried it yet. He also said it was a 1958 model but the numbers say it is a 1957. Either way, before I start checking it over and trying to start it up does anyone have any tips or advice? Thanks!

Check compression. That motor should run 115psi or better, with no more than 10 percent difference between cylinders.
