First, Thanks for the admission to the group. Secondly, I have few questions about the boat concerning the HIN or serial number. I looked all over and haven't found it yet, but the boat has some damage where I think it was or still is. A tree fell on the rear, right-side top area right at the corner where the transom connects. I believe it is repairable within my skill set so not too worried about it at this time. I tried to load the Pics I have so far, but they didn't load properly. I will try again later this weekend. I was told it is a 1966 year model Lonestar 24 foot long Cabin Cruiser. I have a seven-digit HIN number on the registration when I got the new registration in my name, but I wanted to learn as much as I could about the boat and thought searching by the serial number or HIN is the way to go. Thanks for any help and advice in advance, James.

Before 1972, there is only the serial number

After 1972 are HINs and it may have taken a year or two for all manufacturers to be compliant

Your 1966 boat would only have a serial number plate located somewhere in the boat. However after 59 years, who knows what was done with the boat

That's a Serial #, may have been used as a HIN, but technically not a HIN.

As far as I know, theres no decoding of that Serial #, theres no list so it won't yield any results.
