new impeller ? how to order right part

what's the best way to order the right impeller kit for 98 mercruiser with alpha one drive?
are there serial numbers somewhere ? new to this boat.....

First off, being a 98, it's an Alpha I Gen II. Not just an Alpha I. Two different drives.
There are two kits pictured below with the OEM part numbers.
They can be converted to aftermarket, but keep in mind the aftermarket kits do not have the face seal and tool

ok yea sorry I did know it was a gen 11 at least
face seal and tool ? read the manual and watched the vids so not sure what you are referring too?

Then you read the wrong thing, and watched the wrong video. Probably one posted by someone that didn't know what they were doing.

Here is how to replace the impeller in an A1G2.

You should also pull the drive completely off the boat. There is things that should be checked in there as well.

No I read the right manual etc. I now see what you are referring too. I just wasn't thinking when I scanned the parts list.
Thanks for the info! and yes I will pull it all apart as I want to replace everything that can be replaced.
I imagine all the rest of the seals are available here in the iboats store,........
