New here - an introduction and pics of my boat...

Hi All,

New to the forum. And a new boat owner too - not new to the water having been a sailor, diver, and Naval Aviator for years - but this is my first power boat and the first boat I have personally owned.

It's a 1979 Starcraft Holiday V5 14' Aluminum Runabout with 1979 Johnson SeaHorse Magflash CD 55HP.

1979, you say? Man that thing doesn't look, but maybe to be more than a few years old. I had to relook at your post just to be sure. NICE BOAT!

I know - it's crazy! Someone REALLY took care of this boat. I decoded the HIN, trailer VIN, and engine model number and they are all 1979 - a complete matched set!

I figure this is the "classic car" I will never be able to afford...I always wanted something older and "classic" to lovingly take care of...and this was only $1600 - I figure you can't get a car this old and this nice for anything like that!

Looking forward to learning lots on the forums here.
