Re: New Guy with a lot of questions

Hi dieseldust I saw that you live in SLC I also live in SLC, where are you planning on running that boat? Are you going to keep it at Powell or are you going to trailer and go to mountian lakes? Guessing from your dieseldust name you have it covered but that boat will reqiure a pretty stout truck to pull it with if you plan on hitting any of the mountian lakes. I don't know what kind of money your looking to spend none of my business really but there are TONS of boats on ksl classified right now and more coming every day. Not trying to talk you out of that one but there are lots to choose from. That is plenty of boat for a 350 to push around especially at higher altitudes it will prob be fine but what are you going to be using it for mainly? If just crusing and fishing great but if any water sports come into play may not have the holeshot you want. Again I would definately find out about the outdrives abilities as far as running in trim goes around here some of the ramps are not real steep so it can present a problem if you have to be trimmed all the way down to operate. When growing up my dad had an old bayliner 27' with twin volvo i-6 and 270 out drives and they could NOT be run in trim so it made trailering and beaching difficult at times especially if the weather doesn't cooperate. As we know all to well here in utah it can go from real good to real bad in a matter of minutes without any warning, especially down at powell which I boat 3-4 times per year and have done so my whole life. It is supposed to raise 50 to 60 feet this year awesome.... good luck which ever way you go, hopefully I will see you out on the lake.
