Hey guys,

New to boats. Just picked up an 82 Capri 19ft., Volvo Penta 270, Volvo 4cyl. Guy replaced the floor, stringers, transom, and reupholstered all the seats, and new marine carpet last season. He also painted the boat from the body line (not sure what you call it) up 2 years ago, replaced the prop, along with a new carb, starter, and battery. The seat setup is a little different than factory, as is some of the other panels. The only issues I can find is that it is missing a swim platform, rear cleats, the trim motor is a little slow and needs rewired to the switch so I don't have to directly run it off the battery, and the trailer has two different sized wheels on. When we went to look at it, he started it up within about 3 seconds, and it hadn't been started since mid-July. All and all I think I got a pretty good deal at 875 bucks. Just wanted to share, and say hi! She's a little dirty, but a good cleanup is coming soon.

Anyone know where I can get a factory-style swim platform? That and rewiring the trim, stereo, and trailer lights are first on the list after winterizing.

Welcome to iboats!

Your best bet, unless you are willing to spend more than you paid for the boat, is a marine salvage yard, eBay, or Craigslist. Fortunately, you have a straight transom, so you will have a lot of choices, not limited to just Bayliner parts.

Thanks! Any one you'd reccomend? I'm trying to stay with a factory style, because he did replace the transom, but the swim platform must have been there after, the holes are still in the hull. He just took a nut/bolt with a washer, and siliconed them shut :/.
