i have purchaced a 85hp force motor serial #856A9A model #1443 but i dont know what year it is how do you tell?

Thanks for the info i will have to re look at the plate but i thought i wrote them down the way they were on the tag any way thanks alot

You are correct however the serrial numbers dont match does this matter?(1443)

No, it's just showing the number of digits or figures that your serial should contain.
