new engine cover question

Im making a new engine cover today what kind I use to protect the wood, I think resin will do it any inputs thanks. By the way how I post pictures

Since the "upgrade" easiest way to post pics is to get a free photobucket account, upload there, copy the IMG link and post it directly into tour text.

I don't know what type is the one they sell in walmart, that will work for this?, Im planning to painted after is wet with resin is that ok. thanks

Uhmmm, the resin in wall mart has to have Chopped strand mat used with it. You can't just use the resin with out the mat. It won't work. You can't paint it when it's wet. It has to cure first. It only takes about an hour for the resin to cure. You need to study up a bit about fiberglass resin etc...;)
