I'm like Boomyal...I would have an easier time figuring-out the human genome, than I would ebay's rate structure

Re: New ebay fees

Can you say money-hungry?

Good thing I don't sell on there all the time.
I wouldn't blame anyone who sells a lot to quit using them all together.

I've been using other auctions since the last time they raised their prices.

Go ahead and keep it up EBay... The internet is a big place and we have other options!
Go ahead and raise yourself out of business.

H.

Re: New ebay fees

I sell a lot on ebay, I have had to raise my prices because of this. BUT, a listing fee is GREAT price for advertising, with hope they will buy from your website. And if the person decides to buy, it's their dime, and that dime goes in my pocket.

As big as ebay is, I can't image how much their legal bills are every month, you know they've got to get letters daily from the courts to release records on people who do fraud.

I think this remove a lot of the "junk" from ebay, and Homerr, you are right, the internet is a big place, and now some other places might just get their chance as people look elsewhere..

Whoever it was that owned bluejay, get your programmers working overtime to make that into what its potential shows it can be.

Re: New ebay fees

The 55-90% increases in the final value fees are whats gonna hurt. Won't be seeing many $6 auction items anymore. Those that know what they are doing will convert them to buy it now for $9.99.

Go to this EBay forum and see what other buyers and seller think of the increase:

http://forums.ebay.com/db1/forum.jsp?forum=104

They even have a petition going you can get in on:

http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?ebayfee

I also signed up with this auction site and was able to keep my same name:

http://www.epier.com/

BYE BYE EBay! Enjoy your fees with nobody to pay them.

H.
