I may be the last one to know this but just in case I thought I'd share (PW would like that word) it all with you.

I have long been dismayed at the size of the expanded pictures in the "Shareaproject" albums. Of course when you view the thumbnails, in the tutorial, you can click on them to enlarge them. They were still anemic in size.

My discovery is that once enlarged, with text, you can click on the picture again and increase the size by half again as much, depending on the size of your original downloaded image. Now you have a picture that gives you the full impact of what is offered. Try it and see. Don't pick my first image. It was scanned not shot.

http://www.shareaproject.com/pages/projectTut,p,92,00.html

Edit: further discovery. If you click around on the 'full' image, you may get the little icon in the bottom right. If you do you can even enlarge it to the full digital image size. I don't know if this is a function the the OS but you can atleast do it in XP. Some of my earliest posted images I had reduced in size so I could email them so not all of them will enlarge extra large.

It also works with win98se.

Tip: Right click picture and then select 'open in new window'. That way you don't lose the main page.

I like the way you have inserted text and line drawings on some of the pics, good job boom (with the pics AND the project)!!

Aldo

Fishook, I looked up a manufacturer of biodegradeable shipping peanuts and asked if I could get some uncut extrusions of the material. They were intrigued by my intended use of the material and sent me some gratis. I later contacted them to see if they were interesed in putting together a package of material for sale and that I would just refer people to them. I never heard back from them. They probably thought that it would be more bother than what they could charge for it.

Re: New Discovery!!!!!!

i ended up splitting a length of pvc pipe 3/4" and spot glued thatwhere the stringer meets the floor.hopfully the foam wont get in there and block the drain.too bad that company wasnt interested, it sure would help alot of boaters.

Hi Boomyal.
Your project is coming along better than mine by the looks of things.
I like the unusual workbench with all those freshly painted parts sitting on it.
You've put a lot of time and effort in and the pictures look great.
Thanks for the tip on resizing the pictures on SaP website. I didnt know about that trick.
Keep up the good work. It sure is a lot easier to do a job like this when it is at home though.

Regards

Peter

Re: New Discovery!!!!!!

Thanks Peter, I hear you about the project being at home. I am glad to have had the hull outside my side door. The fact that I could not do my motor work at home was/is not only a great inconvenience but led to the theft of my first motor.

Don't feel bad about the progress of your project. Even though I quit working on mine for 5 months after the motor theft, it's still a year in the re-making. Heck, I'm just rebuilding a part of my boat. You are just about building a boat.

Re: New Discovery!!!!!!

Thanks Boomyal,
We have had another 3 weekends of NOT getting to the beach so there is more work time lost.
All is not lost though as it is now school holidays and my wife is wanting to go to the beach this coming weekend.
I have started on my engine repower project, a Chev 305 to AQ225 specs that will go into the boat after I have had it in the water and had some use out of it. Any way I still have to find some bits to complete the parts list for the conversion and may yet have to buy out of the USA.
I just put up the first pictures of that onto SaP earlier today.
The theft of your engine was a savage blow to you.
The lowlife just dont care much for other people's feelings.

Good luck,

Pete
