A Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. You'll probably never have to buy another car!

Mustang Boss 302 with 6 speed manual . . . I don't think she would like it though . . . so we'd probably have to trade cars :D

I thinking about the price range of a Ford Focus or a VW Beetle.

the wife bought a vw jetta tdi, she likes it. the fuel is a bit more but the mileage is great. she drove the focus and she didn't care for it for one reason or another, I'm really not sure.

We're in our mid 50's so the go fast cars are not on our list.

How about a Nissan Altima. Nice size and a proven drive train.

It depends on how much money I had, and how my wife was acting, and if I were going to be driving it!

Re: New car for my Admiral ??

for me, it would be a toss-up when buying for the lady.

for my ex wife, a Pinto with help over a cliff......

for my GF - a VW Jetta sportwagen with a TDI - cant argue with an average of 45mpg and a really smooth ride. or if you drive in snow, an Audi A3 or A4 Avant with a second set of wheels with ice and snow tires mounted.

The reason I mention the wagons, you can get 5 people and a whole bunch of shopping bags.... or two people, two dogs, two suit cases..... or you can haul two cylinder heads, an intake, 2 boxes of parts from Summit Racing, two tool boxes, a suit case, a saw, two drills, box of fiberglass supplies and a bunch of ACX:D

My three daughters, all in their mid fifties, chose two Subarus (Forester and Outback) and a Toyota Prius (second one). They say that their priorities are reliability and economical operation. #3 Daughter bought her second Prius when she gave the first one (265K) to her son to take to college. Numbers 1 and 2 chose the Subies for AWD and carlike comfort and handling.

I would buy a Subaru Outback Limited, she has owned two Subaru's and loved them, the last one has an incident with me behind the wheel, lets say not only did the deer loose, the little ole' card didn't come out clear either, I hope to get her another one by time here birthday rolls around in September.
