New Boater / Chartplotter / VHF

Hi everyone, New to boating with a question regarding chartplotters.
What touch screen/chartplotter/vhf radio combo should I get?

I want to be able to have that feature that sends my location to the radio in case of an emergency (not sure what this is called) and Im also planning to do some fishing while on the boat. Im in Florida (Gulf Coast)

If you are new to boating and plan on going offshore I suggest you take a coast guard class and hook up with a local experianced person to learn from. To answer your radio question the feature you're asking about is called DSC. I believe all new radios come with that option. In case of distress and if the radio is programmed with a valid MMSI , and the radio is connected to a gps and the required information is registered, your location and boat information will be available to the coast guard.
