Hey everyone, I just got my first boat last weekend its a 16ft aluminum starcraft with a 60hp Yamaha. Im looking to hear from some guys who have experience in a boat like mine. The first time I took it out I took a buddy and it drove great other then rapidly filling with water. 2 days and 4lbs of pc11 and I took it out again alone this time. No leaks but every time I would gas it I would get the feeling it wanted to roll over to the right. Would the added bulk/drag from the unsanded patches cause this or could I just be freaking myself out riding alone with all my weight (220lbs) on the right side of the boat.
I had to patch both the left and right side of the boat as well as cover a metal plate patch under the stern that is there from when a marlin smashed the bottem of the boat.
