We just purchased a 1990 Fisher 18ft Aluminum Bass Boat with a 115HP Mercury Mariner 2-stroke motor. The boat didn't come with an Owners Manual. Does anyone know the size of the below deck fuel tank on this boat?

I had one...... great boat! I miss my old Fisher....... Does your boat have the aluminum decking??? That was one of the best things.

I do believe the tank is 18 gallons or it was on my Fisher GT with the same exact motor.

Post a few pictures!!!

It's really hard to find specs on boats that age. If the manufacturer can't help you, then your best bet is probably to just figure it out on your own.

On a boat that size, 18 gallon definitely sounds in the ballpark, and I'd just go with that. If you really need to know exactly, the quickest way it probably to run it dry and then go to the gas pump and see how much you can pump into it.

there should be a plate in the deck over the sending unit for the tank, and typically, there is a plate on the tank with capacity and other info.

The original Fisher was purchased and then parented by Tracker Marine...... when that happened the built materials got cheaper :(

It does have aluminum decking, with carpeting on top.
Can't wait to get it in the water.

SCORE!!! Yes you have an original Fisher built much better then the newer (Tracker time period) ones. The only wood I had on mine was in the transom and a small piece of trim.

I had to did up this old picture of mine for nostalgia reasons. IMG_5278.jpg Yup I had a 115 Mariner on the back too.

+1 for this. Usually, the hatch/round plate right over the sending unit, reveals the top of the tank. There may be a sticker on the tank with all your needed info.
