Yes I have a 2000 5.7 just put the new engine in everything is new except the throttle body and distributor motor runs for a few min and shuts off after hearing loud sucking noise. I have replaced the tbs and idle air control. Notice the throttle body gets condensation on it when it cuts off. Any ideas

Tpi not sure of fuel pressure and no codes
Previous owner took a lot off before I got it. I seem to can’t find where the fuel pressure regulator vacuum goes I think this may be some of the problem

Ok I haven’t had time to ck the fuel pressure but did have a guy go out and get the codes it’s throwing codes. 14,22,34,12. Maybe this helps

Again don't know your serial number
Code 12 is there are no codes
Code 14 ECT voltage high (open)
Code 22 TPS voltage low
Code 34 MAP voltage low

Looks like a voltage issue, check connections from Bat up

Just installed a new engine previous owner took a lot apart before I got it I have the new motor running and idling great but Boggs out on acceleration. ? Is where does the vacuum line go from the fuel regulator can’t find where that goes. Also boat set up for a few years I drain the gas and put new gas in it could it be in the tank itself. Tomorrow gonna run a separate small tank to see if that works.

Fuel regulator vacuum line should tie in with the intake manifold/throttle body. The line not being connected shouldn't affect performance unless there is fuel present in the line(s)

What is the fuel pressure? Is the idle timing correct and is the timing advancing properly?

You're on the right track running off a remote tank, can indicate a fuel supply issue

I had a guy time the motor for me so im assuming it’s timed right gonna ck the fuel pressure today and run it off a remote tank and will let you know the outcome

Wouldn't be good enough for my taste, fair witness and all......

What is the engine model? Some efi/mpi models don't require setting the timing, others require the ecm to be set in service mode for proper idle timing adjustment

Number on block is 10243880. All voltage looks to be correct

Either fuel pump or electrical
When motor starts dying if its slow then I'm thinking fuel, if it's fast like the key turns off then electrical

Motor is
10243880...350...95-00...2 or 4...Vortec truck, Gen.I crate motors and "ZZ4", roller cam, one piece rear seal

New fuel pump. And checked all the lines to make sure nothing has stopped up new fuel filter, regulator and all. When i throttle up on it it just kinda stalls it stays running soon as I back off of it. Was doing some reading could it be the map sensor. I have already changed the iac sensor and the tps sensor

You need the mercruiser model number not the (guessing) casting numbers on the block
