New 20ft Jon Boat

I am looking for a bare semi V 20ft jon boat. I like my 18ft but would like to get one a tad bigger and wider. I have a motor already. So any suggestions on where to look? Ive done some but it seems hard to find just a empty boat.

Im just using the term as a generalization. But i have gotten on some of those sites and i cant find a way to just get a plain bare boat!

The word "Boat" is a generalization. Jon and semi-V are very specific terms for a very specific type of boat. That's where the confusion comes in.

Back in the 1960's and '70's you could buy a bare boat. The industry has changed. Now only package deals are available from the major manufacturers.

There are custom manufacturers that will supply a bare bones boat hull that you can then customize to your liking. Usually very spartan and very expensive. But you need to know exactly what style hull you want.

Not much profit in a bare hull, so be prepared to pay handsomely !!

Bare boats are now found only in WORKBOATS. They are heavy gauged hulls. Odd seating for work areas.

Have you ever looked into the Sea Ark line of Jons? I have had Qauchita (spell), Poler Craft and Sea Ark and Sea Ark is by far and above the best Jon I have ever had. In the 25 years that I have had this Sea Ark 1860MV I have yet to have ONE crack develop in the hull, not so with the other boats.
