Re: Never got to 10,000 posts!
This is my swan song. Sayonara to all.
Very sorry to hear, for two reasons...
1st: I know for a fact you've personally helped me a number of times in my short tenure on this site. I've gone from not having a clue about boats to knowing enough to stand back, develop an approach, and methodically isolate problems. "WE" can't do that without the experience of folks like you.
2nd: I've walked away from a thing or two that I've really enjoyed in my life for the wrong reason ... mainly because one thing really got to me. Just remember that decision to quit something you like for the wrong reason often really changes you; it can leave you feeling empty, sour, and even angry for the long term. For some folks it leads to a pattern of behavior. These things happen and get out of hand very quickly because at the time your making the decision you can't suddenly change they way you feel, so do it, but it really doesn't make you feel any better.
Enough said, one can not presume to know enough to tell someone else what to do...
Hope you think it through, shake it off, change your mind, and reach the conclusion that everyone here supports each other (with the exception of a few rare instances) to share and learn about something we all enjoy.
Positive thoughts!
Good luck to you whatever you decide.
