Yes, I realise that. The PS cooler is on the suction side on all cooling diagrams I’ve seen for my engine, it’s the first component to connect where the hose comes through the transom.Note that the Neutra-Salt tie-in needs to be on the upstream side (suction side) of the raw water pump. On most Volvos the power steering cooler is on the upstream side of the pump. However, on Ford EFIs, and possibly others, the cooler is downstream of the raw water pump.
The OP configuration will support what he's doing, but I thought I would share how the configuration can differ for others.
Yes, the kit I bought came with a T-fitting, but connecting to the PS cooler is easier and less of a modification in my opinion.FWIW, the Neutra Salt aftermarket kit has a T-fitting you splice into the raw water line feeding the raw water pump.
