needs rectifier volage on 850 mercury

i have a 850 4syl mercury.i need to know what the voltage on the stator and the rectifier must be.and what voltage is safe to input to my cdi.i am reading 45v on the recifier if it is not connected to the cdi.

You can only read 45 volts on the rectifier if it's not connected to the battery. Don't run without a battery connected.
