Needing to know what year model this evinrude is

I have recently been given an old boat that I am fixing up. I am trying to find out what year model the Evinrude on it is. here is the serial number:

25252r-E03304

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

welcome, it is an evinrude, maybe a 3 or 33hp. not sure on that. do you have just the modle # serial number does not help

25252R is the model number.....

It's a 1972 25hp.
