so, it turns out my '78 johnson was orignally a tiller steer motor, but by the time it got to me, the tiller steering pieces were gone, and someone had retrofitted remote steer on it, which works great!
however, i have no way to control the gear shifter or throttle... i was told i need a control from a similar horsepower motor of this year, plus some kind of adapter cable?
if someone could point me in the direction of this adapter cable, i'd GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks!
