Needed Fuel Pump 5.7xl Merc Efi

I have a 1996 Merc 5.7XL with a bad electric fuel pump, engine #F0759669, the only one I can find retail is a Mercury sub for almost $800 JUST FOR THE ELECTRIC PUMP!
Any suggestions for finding the actual part or reasonable sub is appreciated.
