Re: Need to get rid of yellowjackets
The past 3 years here in my part of the world has been bad for yellow jackets, wasps and dirt dobbers as well as little black ants. One time when I was out of wasp spray I found a can of glue spray that sprayed a stream of snake like stream out of it and I found many yellow jacket hives around the eves of our house, I thought what the heck and tried using it and it worked, glued the yellow critter right to their hives and sealed the young ones in as well, been trying to get this under control as every year I put up our portable 15' swimming pool and for some reason they think it is their drinking hole and bug me and anyone else when we use the pool, I bet I kill at least a dozen a day every day all summer, I just drown them using the plastic skimmer, and a shot of regular ant spray will put them into the water long enough to drown themselves, the dirt dobbers and wasps don't seem to bother the pool so I don't bother with them, after a rain in the summer is the worse for flying ants, there are literally hundreds of dead flying ants in the pool after a heavy rain, happened several times this past summer....
