I will give you a break here, yes you need to stay in school and excell in a career. But in the mean time, you can check with your local bait shops and see if they would be willing to buy some bait from you after you netted it.. I paid for my first boat by doing this when I was 15. I also sold fish to local restaurants but most of them knew me because I went to school with there sons. Good luck.

ok i will just try to get a job with a guy that winterizes moorings and does work on the water. and work at reasturants and stuff like that.

One thing about working at jobs that you hate... You then are willing to work harder (at schooling or other options) to get the training to be able to work at a job you love. Don.t ask me how I know, but I wish I had learned about 15 years earlier.

Winter will be coming along in short order up there in R.I., and I'm pretty sure you're not going to want to be outside in the cold near the water... especially when those northeast winds start kicking up.

You're going to need money to fix your boat before can even think about using it for something.

You want to make money? You want to be your own boss? You want to work outside? Think snow removal service this winter!

I read this thread before heading to work so I had a good 20-30mintime drive to think on this.

Being in the north spring and summer tend lawns, fall rake leaves, winter shovel snow. If that's not your cup of tea there are other options out there.

Do you excel in one of your classes that you could tutor other students? Are you handy with computers than advertise pc troubleshooting.

Just remember any business venture is going to require start up funding. I've taken alot of small business courses offered in my area. Once you figure out what you would like to do shoot me an pm and ill take the time to go over cost analysis with you.
